Last updated: July 7, 2026 · Effective: June 22, 2026
Template notice

These Terms are a working draft reflecting how The Den Mentorship operates. They are not legal advice. Please have them reviewed by qualified counsel — particularly the rewards, payout, and dispute sections — before publishing.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Den Mentorship apps and dashboard (the “Service”), operated by Team Pursuit in Detroit, Michigan. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

The Den Mentorship is offered to young people enrolled through our partner schools and programs, and to Community Wellness Advocates approved by Team Pursuit. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian where required, and through an authorized program. Accounts are provided by invitation; there is no public sign-up.

3. Your account

  • You sign in using your phone number and a one-time passcode. Keep access to your phone secure.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it current, including your payout handle.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred.

4. SMS verification

By providing your phone number and using The Den Mentorship, you consent to receive SMS messages containing one-time passcodes for the purpose of verifying your identity during signup and login. These messages are transactional and required to access your account; they are not marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, though this will prevent you from receiving the verification codes needed to log in.

5. The program

The Den Mentorship rewards participation in approved programs and activities — including wellness pulses, program check-ins, exit reflections, and mentor touchpoints. Available activities, schedules, and assignments are determined by Team Pursuit and your program partners and may change.

6. Points & payouts

  • Earning. You earn points for completing eligible activities. Point values are set by Team Pursuit and may be adjusted.
  • No cash value until paid. Points are a record of participation and have no independent cash value, transferability, or guarantee until converted and issued as a payout.
  • Payouts. Eligible balances are paid approximately twice per month through Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal using the handle you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of that handle.
  • Caps & review. Payouts may be subject to caps and to review for accuracy. We may withhold or reverse points or payouts obtained through error, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to amounts you receive.
Counsel review needed

Paying participants — especially minors — can trigger tax-reporting and program-compliance obligations. Confirm the payout structure and any caps with counsel and your finance team.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Falsify check-ins, reflections, or any activity to earn points you did not genuinely complete.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other participants, advocates, or staff.
  • Share another person's private information or your account access.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Community Wellness Advocates

Advocates apply and are approved by Team Pursuit staff. Approval may be declined or revoked at our discretion. Advocates agree to act in the best interest of the youth they support, to keep participant information confidential, and to follow Team Pursuit's mentorship guidelines and applicable law, including mandatory-reporting obligations.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages, reflections, and other content you submit. You grant Team Pursuit a limited license to use that content solely to operate and improve the Service and to support you. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

10. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required for safety or legal reasons, or if the program ends. Outstanding eligible payouts earned in good faith before termination will be honored per our normal process.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” The Den Mentorship supports well-being but is not a crisis, medical, or emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Team Pursuit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by SMS. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
